Turkish Foreign Minister justifies deteriorated relations with Iraq by Iraqi internal tensions

Follow-Up (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutuglo justified the “cold relations with Iraq by the Iraqi internal tensions.” Davutuglo is expected to visit Iraq on Sunday in response to an official invitation from his Iraqi counterpart, Hoshyar Zibari.

Uglo said in a press statement “The deteriorated relations with Iraq is mainly due to political tensions in Iraq,” stressing that “Turkey never attempted to interfere in Iraqi internal affairs.”

Concerning the economic relations concluded by Turkey with Kurdistan region, he said “The agreements concluded with Kurdistan region do not neglect or abolish the legal or constitutional rights of the Central Government of Iraq,” noting that “We will discuss these affairs with Iraqi officials.”
