Zebari: Iraq, Turkey to enhance bilateral relations between them

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, stressed starting a new phase of relations with Turkey as well as reaching fruitful results between both countries concerning normalizing the mutual relations.

During a press conference held jointly with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, in Baghdad on Sunday, Zebari said “Through the good will available in the two sides, we could reach positive findings during our meeting with Davutoglu as we had agreed upon a road map to reestablish the normal mutual relations between both countries.”

” Also, we agreed on re-form the mutual diplomatic dialogue committee,” he added noting “Several reciprocal visits of top officials will be paid soon.”

For his part, the Foreign Minister of Turkey said “We are honored to visit Iraq and we do appreciate Zebari’s efforts to restore the common ties.”

Davutoglu has arrived to Baghdad Sunday morning in an official visit.
