President Talabani heads for S.Korea, Iran next week

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani will start an official visit to South Korea next week in response to an official invitation from the South Korean president before making for Iran, according to a presidential statement on Tuesday. “Talabani will start an official visit to South Korea on February 23-26 in response to an invitation from his South Korean counterpart,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The president will discuss means to foster bilateral relations and South Korean contributions in rebuilding Iraq,” it added. “Talabani will then head for Tehran after wrapping up his visit to South Korea, where he will meet with Iranian President Ahmadi Nejad and top Iranian officials,” it said. “He will be accompanied by a high-profile Iraqi delegation,” it also said.
