Shiite brigade to defend Baghdad denounced by Muqtada Al-Sadr, Sadr Trend leader

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr described the formation of a “Shiite Brigade” to protect Baghdad from possible terrorism coming from Syria as “Mere sectarian illusion.”

Sadr answered a question by some Iraqis over the attempt of some sides to increase the sectarianism in Iraq to serve their interests through forming a brigade whose members are chosen from Shiite sect only to protect Baghdad from terrorism that might come to Iraq from Syria, by saying “This step is mere sectarian illusion.”
