Nineveh Police Commander survives assassination attempt [11/18/2013]

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Police Commander of Nineveh, Lieutenant General, Khalid al-Hamdani, survived an assassination attempt by two Improvised Explosive Devices of southern Mosul.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Two IEDs exploded, targeting Hamdani motorcade in Albu Yousif village of southern Mosul where the explosion resulted in injuring eight of his guards.”

“The explosion did not result in injuring Hamdani,” the source added, noting that “The accident happened when Hamadani was conducting a raid-search operation in the same area.”
