Maliki stops tasks of head, Inspector of Sunni Endowment

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, decided to dismiss the head of the Sunni Endowment, Abdul Ghafour al-Samarai, and the Inspector of the Endowment, Riyadh al-Taai due to corruption issues.

The Deputy Head of the Sunni Endowment, Ahmed al-Jouburi, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Maliki decided to stop the tasks of Samarai and Taai for 60 that can be extended due to the corruption issues.”

“Maliki tasked The Deputy Head of the Endowment, Mahmoud al-Sumaida’i to head the Endowment,” he concluded.

Earlier, Jobouri, of the Integrity Committee called the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to ratify the decision of the Committee over dismissing the head of the Sunni Endowment, Ahmed Abdul Ghafoor, and the inspector of the Sunni Endowment over the corruption issues.”

In a press conference, he said “I call Maliki to ratify the Committee’s decision over dismissing the head of the Sunni Endowment and its inspector.”

“There are many corruption issues related to the Sunni Endowment where they accused me of reporting non-sense and affecting the investigation,” he concluded. /End
