Earthquake shakes 8 Iraqi provinces
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A slight earthquake shook eight Iraqi provinces at the central and northern Iraq on Friday night.
A source from the Seismology Center stated to IraqiNews.com “An earthquake hit the provinces of Baghdad, Babel, Karbala, Muthana, Maysan, Kirkuk, Diyala and Sulaimaniya.”
The source added “The magnitude of the earthquake was 2 points on Richter scale,” noting that “It is classified as medium earthquake.”
“The local residents at those provinces felt the earthquake but no casualties were registered yet,” the source concluded.
