Talabani leaves S. Korea for Tehran
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Thursday left South Korea, wrapping up a four-day visit to the Asian country, to head for Tehran, according to a presidential statement. “The president wrapped up an official four-day visit to South Korea in response to an invitation from his Korean counterpart,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The president and his accompanying delegation headed for the Iranian capital Tehran,” it added. “Talabani signed two Memorandums of Understanding to foster economic ties and cooperation between the two countries,” it also said. The president had arrived in Seoul last Sunday (Feb. 22) within his multi-leg Asian tour which will take him also to Tehran. SH (P)/SR 1
