Turkey signs oil export contracts with Kurdistan Region – awaits approval of Iraq Central Government

Turkish FM: We sign contracts with Kurdistan Region over oil exportation, await for approval of CG

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced that Turkey signed contracts with Kurdistan Region over oil exportation and still awaiting for the approval of the Central Government of Iraq.

The spokesperson of the Turkish FM stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “While visiting Ankara on the 27th of December, the Premier of Kurdistan Region Najervan Barzani, signed several contracts related to the exportation of the Iraqi oil to Turkey and we prefer to involve Baghdad in this issue to achieve the interests of the peoples of the two countries.”

“Based on this concept, Turkey wishes a quick settlement to the current issue and all the pending issue to make the negotiations based on a good intention and the unity of the Iraqi territories,” he concluded.
