Ahrar bloc calls Ankara to hand over fugitive Hashimi to Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jawad al-Hasnawi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend called Turkey to hand over the judicially wanted Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi, who is sentenced to death in absentia and live in Ankara.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We do not have any information related to the cooperation between Hashimi and the Iraqi officials,” assuring that “Hashimi is wanted and the diplomatic side in Iraq must urge Turkey to hand him over to Iraq.”

“Hashimi was one of the reasons that disturbed the Iraqi-Turkey relations,” he pointed out, calling the “Iraqi security forces to arrest the members of Tajdeed Movement that Hashimi heads, in Baghdad.”
