UN delegation arrives in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A U.N. delegation on Monday arrived in Kirkuk to discuss means of dividing authority in the province, according to a local source. “The delegation is comprised of political advisors working on the report on disputed areas,” a media director in Kirkuk, Rodi Anwar, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The delegation will also discuss demographic changes before and after 2003…,” Anwar added. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km north of the capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
