Sadrist MP: Political sides behind releasing judicial warrants against Sadrist MPsBaghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jaafar al-Mousawi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend accused some political sides of requesting the judiciary to release arrest warrants against Sadrist MPs.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The judiciary in Iraq never release warrants without instructions of some political sides,” calling those sides to “Reveal the corruption files for all the political sides not selectively.”

“Some judges follow the instructions of the rulers and many of them were changed,” he added, showing surprise over “Releasing judicial warrants against three of the Sadrist MPs in the same day which shows that they are politically targeted.”

Earlier, the Investigation Court of Integrity in Baghdad issued two arrest warrants against two MPs from the Ahrar Bloc on Monday.

Judicial source reported to IraqiNews.com “Arrest warrants were issued against the head of the Ahrar bloc in parliament, Baha al-Araji, according to article 340 related to damaging general properties.”

It is worth to mention that both MPs Araji and Shihaili belong to one bloc and one parliamentary committee represented by Integrity Parliamentary Committee headed by Baha al-Araji.
