SIIC chief discusses with Bahraini amb. bilateral relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Chief of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Abdulaziz al-Hakim, on Tuesday discussed with the Bahraini ambassador in Baghdad and the adviser to the Bahraini king bilateral ties between the two countries, according to a statement published on the SIIC’s Web site. “Al-Hakim received the Bahraini king’s advisor, Mohamed al-Sitri, and the ambassador to Iraq and their accompanying delegation at his office in Baghdad,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting tackled ways to boost bilateral relations in various domains,” it noted. “The SIIC chief underlined Iraq’s keeness to strengthen relations with Arab countries and to foster the Arab solidarity for their good of the Arab people,” it added. “Al-Sitri conveyed the Bahraini king and officials’ greetings, asserting the strong relations between the two countries,” the statement said.
