Maliki visits Holy Shrine of Imam Redha PBUH

International (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, traveled to eastern city of Mashad to make a pilgrimage to the holy shrine of the eighth Shia Imam Redha (PBUH) on last Friday concluding his official visit to Iran.

A statement received by IraqiNews.com cited “He also met with key political and religious figures in Khorasan province.”

“Upon his arrival at Mashad airport, Maliki called for exchanging experiences between the holy shrine of Mashad with Iraq’s holy shrines,” the statement added.

“Maliki met the Governor of Khorasan where they discussed the consolidating the mutual cooperation,” the statement concluded.
