Kurdistan Region Religious authority forbids Jihad in Syria

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Supreme Religious Opinions Committee in Kurdistan Region forbid fighting (Jihad) in Syria.

The Kurdistan Regional Government quoted, Ahmed al-Shafei, the member in the committee as saying in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The young men who went to fight in Syria are not serving neither Islam religion nor Muslims since practicing Jihad without taking the permission from their parents is forbidden and unaccepted within Islam rituals.”

”The Kurdistan Region formed a committee on 24 of November to investigate the traveling of Kurdish young men to Syria to support the armed groups who want to topple current regime there,” the statement concluded.
