Earthquake measures 3.9 on Ritcher Scale hits Thi-Qar province

Thi-Qar (IraqiNews.com) An earthquake measures 3.9 on Ritcher Scale hit northern Thi-Qar province.

The head of the Seismological Centers, Abdul Karim Abdul Allah, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Earthquake happened at 11:10 A.M. in Rifa’i district of northern Thi-Qar and measured 3.9 on the Ritcher Scale without causing human casualties.”

“We do not expect more quakes in the next few days,” he added, noting that “There are slight quakes hit Khanaqeen district of Diyala province that measure 2.2 on the same scale and cannot be felt.”
