Talabani doesn’t want to quit political life
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani has denied news of his intention to quit political life, according to a statement released by his office. In response to a question during an interview with the Iranian Press TV on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) conference in Tehran, Talabani ruled out plans to run for president in the next elections, saying he needs to give more time to his party, political life and to writing his autobiography, according to the statement. The president’s lack of intention to run for another term in office does not mean that he will quit political life, the statement explained. SS (P) 1
