AL chief: Iraq in 2009 is totally different

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa on Tuesday said that Iraq has completely changed since 2005, when he made his last visit to the country. The remark was made during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Moussa expressed the readiness of Arab countries to support Iraq’s national reconciliation project, which has said is the main reason for the stability that Iraq currently enjoys. Maliki stressed the significance of Arab coordination with Iraq, which he said has succeeded in overcoming sectarianism and in taking positive steps towards reconstruction. SS (P) 1
