Kurdish PM meets parliament’s speaker in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Prime Minister of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Negervan Barzani, on Tuesday held a meeting with the Speaker of Kurdistan’s parliament, Adnan al-Mufti, according to a statement of the parliament. “ Negervan Barzani held a meeting on Tuesday (Mar. 17) with the speaker of Kurdistan’s parliament, Adnan al-Mufti, and his deputy Kamal Karkouki at the parliament’s building to discuss the unification of the interior, finance and Peshmerga ministries, which have not been unified in the government yet,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “ The meeting tackled also the government’s preparations to send the 2009 budget to the parliament and pending draft laws,” the statement added. “ They agreed to hold a special session of the parliament before the end of the March to discuss pending issues, mainly those related to providing citizens with services,” it said.
