MP Alwani caught red handed shooting Iraqi Security Forces – MP Shallah

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Ali al-Shallah of the State of Law Coalition pointed out that “The Independent MP Ahmed al-Alwani is involved red handed in shooting fire on the Iraqi Security Forces,” noting that “According to this fact the Parliamentary authority does not have the right to interfere in his case which is turned to the judicial authority.”

A security force from the Iraqi Army arrested on Saturday morning MP Ahmed al-Alwani and killed his brother Ali Salman al-Alwani, during armed clashes while the force was trying to implement an arrest warrant against the latter from his house in central Ramadi.

Shallah clarified in a statement to Iraqi News “The Parliament should support the security forces in its battle against terrorism,” stressing that “The current military operation in Anbar aims to clarify Anbar from al-Qaeda elements which came as a response for the demands of MPs who were accusing the security forces of not fighting al-Qaeda elements.”
