Hakim, US Ambassador to Iraq discuss latest updates in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with the US Ambassador to Iraq, the latest political updates in Iraq.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received the US Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Beecroft, at his office in Baghdad where Hakim praised the cooperation of the tribes in Anbar with the security forces in combating terrorism.”

“Beecroft assured supporting Iraq in its battle with terrorism, showing concerns over the situation in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
