Urgent – Motahidon Alliance MPs resign in protest of Anbar events

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The MPs of the Motahidon Alliance, which is chaired by the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi, announced submitting their resignations from the Parliament to protest the current events in Anbar province.

The official spokesperson of Motahidon Alliance, Thafer al-Ani, stated in a press conference attended by Nijaifi and several MPs of the Alliance ”The MPs within Motahidon Alliance submit their resignations of the membership of the Parliament protesting the current events in Anbar province.”

”Ani did not mention whether Nijaifi submitted his resignation or not, yet he stressed that the war in Anbar is unconstitutional and violate all patriotic terms,” the statement added.
