CoM approves turning Halabcha district into province

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Council of Ministers approved, during its regular session of Tuesday, the law draft of turning Halabcha district into a province within Kurdistan Region.

The Federal Council of Ministers has received last week a request from the Kurdistan Regional Government sent by a delegation from the Kurdistan RegionG to turn Halabcha district into a province.

The Kurdish Official Aras Abid said in a press statement Tuesday “The Council of Ministers approved by majority on a project to turn Halabcha district into a province.”

“The project of the law will be submitted to the parliament for approval soon,” he concluded.
