Security campaign launched against ISIS northern Babel

Babel (IraqiNews.com) The security committee within Babel Provincial Council revealed that a large number of the fighters of the what is so called The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria ISIS have sneaked into the areas located to the north of Babel province, noting that “Iraqi security force supported by Iraqi Army Troops have launched a wide security operation to chase the terrorist elements in the area.”

The head of the security committee within Babel PC Falah Abdul Karim al-Khafaji stated to Iraqi News “A force from the SWAT Unit, Federal Police and 31st IA Brigade of the Mid-Euphrates Operations Command started a wide military operation in Jurf al-Sakher district of northern Babel province to chase the terrorists and armed elements.”

Khafaji added “Babel intelligence department succeeded to identify the locations of the ISIS leaders who sneaked from Amriyat al-Fallujah in Anbar to Jurf al-Sakher district in order to turn it into a front similar to Fallujah.”

“The ISF set many check points and closed all sub- roads leading to the district to forbid the escape of the terrorists,” he concluded.
