16 persons killed in western Mosul explosion

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The casualties of the car bomb explosion that targeted a check point located western Mosul jumped up to 16 persons including policemen.

Earlier, a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded on Wednesday afternoon targeting a check point located at the entrance of Talafar district of western Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “The car bombing which targeted Ayadhiya-Talafar check point resulted in killing a policeman and injuring 15 persons, among them four policemen.”

“A security force attended at the explosion area and transported the dead body to the morgue and the injuries to the nearest hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
