SRSG reviews with UNSC, security situation in Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG), Mr. Nickolay Mladenov reviewed the security situation in Anbar with the United Nations Security Council.

The Chariman of the current UNSC from Jordan, Zaid Raad al-Hussien, assured in a statement “The UN delegate in Iraq briefed the UNSC about the security situation in Anbar province.”

“The discussions focused on the current situation and the challenges that face the Iraqi Government,” he added.

“The leading members absolutely rejected all the terrorist acts in Iraq,” he concluded.
