Nijaifi, German Ambassador discuss Anbar crisis, upcoming elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the German Ambassador to Baghdad discussed Anbar crisis and the upcoming elections.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Nijaifi met the Ambassador at his office in Baghdad on Wednesday,” noting that “Both sides discussed the political situation and the security scene after the crisis in Anbar.”

“For his part, Nijaifi stressed the importance of the political solution to accompany the security solution and to prepare for the upcoming elections properly,” the statement concluded.
