Electronic voting cards containing personal data arrive in Najaf

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The branch of the Independent High Electoral Commission announced the arrival of the electronic elections cards to Najaf province.

The director of IHEC office in Najaf province, Saad al-Abdaly, reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The people in the province can receive their new electronic elections card from the 30 election centers distributed in Najaf province.”

”The new cards, which are being used for the first time in Iraq, contain the personal data of the voters, ” noting that ”The aim of using these cards is to facilitate the voting process and within the upcoming parliamentary elections,” the statement concluded.
