Hakim confirms readiness of Iraqi football team to face Japan

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The coach of the Iraqi football team U21 expressed his happiness for winning the match against the Chinese team although the match was not so important since Iraq granted qualification for the quarter final after beating Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.

Shakir stated to IraqiNews.com “The nine points we gathered from the three victories spot the light on the Iraqi team and created more pressure on the team to achieve more victories in the Asian Championship.”

“The next match against Japan will be so difficult since we are the top of the fourth group in the championship with nine points while the Japanese team has beaten the Australian team (4-0),” Shakir added, noting that “The match will be an early final of the championship.”

“We have prepared a new style and formation for the match against Japan since the match enjoys special importance for the Asian football fans,” Coach Shakir concluded.
