Nijaifi meets with US Secretary of State in Washington

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, has arrived in Washington and met with the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, to discuss the mutual relations and the joint issues.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The two sides discussed the security developments in Iraq especially the crisis in Anbar.”

“The two sides agreed upon the political settlements to the crisis, assuring the legitimacy of the war against terrorism to eliminating terrorism in addition to the distinction between the al-Qaeda and the legitimate demands of Anbar citizens,” the statement concluded.
