Women to occupy senior educational positions soon – minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi minister of higher education and scientific research on Monday said that his ministry will allow women to occupy senior educational positions in the coming period. The remark was made during a ceremony held to honor distinguished female professors. “The ministry does not discriminate on gender grounds,” Dr. Abid Thiab al-Ajeeli said during the ceremony that was attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Iraqi woman proved to be trustworthy,” he added.
