Bodies of 2 farmers found in Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Police forces found the bodies of two farmers,both local residents of the district of Amiriyat al-Falluja on Saturday, a police source in al-Anbar province said. “A police force stationed in Amiriyat al-Falluja district found the bodies of two farmers from the village of Ahsi left in a field,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The farmers, who had no problems or feuds with other people, were killed while irrigating their lands,” the source said, adding the bodies were removed to al-Falluja hospital and a probe was being launched into the incident. “Amiriyat al-Falluja used to be the scene for fierce clashes between security authorities and operatives of the self-styled Islamic State of Iraq group. Thanks to the collaboration of tribes and local security forces, the area was purged (of gunmen),” the source noted. Falluja, the largest city in the predominantly Sunni province of al-Anbar, lies 100 km west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
