18 suspects nabbed in Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Eighteen men on Wednesday were arrested during a raid in Falluja city, according to a local police source. “This afternoon, police forces from al-Karma district arrested 18 suspects in Ashoyrtan village for their suspected involvement in acts of terrorism,” Maj. Ali Ayyoub told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The suspects are currently being interrogated,” the official noted. Falluja, the largest city in Anbar province, was a scene of armed conflict between U.S. and Iraqi forces on the one hand and al-Qaeda gunmen on the other. Falluja is 45 km west of Baghdad; while Ramadi, the capital city of Anbar province, lies 110 km west of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
