2 al-Qaeda members nabbed southwest of Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi army forces on Friday arrested two al-Qaeda members in Makhmour district in southwest of Arbil, an army source said. “Iraqi army forces arrested two al-Qaeda wanted men on the road between al-Qayara and Makhmour, southwest of Arbil,” the source told Aswat a-Iraq news agency. “The wanted men are suspected of being involved in attacks on security forces and citizens,” he added. Makhmour district is administratively affiliated with Ninewa province. It is one of the disputed areas between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG).
