Abdul Mahdi: 5 dollars not to be effective without granting more authorities to provinces

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former Vice-President and the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi, stated that the five dollars granted to the provinces within the Petro-dollar law are not effective without granting more authorities to them.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “Granting the five dollars is a great merit that was the result of the pressure of the MPs and the oil producing companies where the government specified one dollar only, bur due to this pressure, they made them five dollars.”

“These five dollars are not effective without granting more authorities to the provinces where hindering the implementation of law 21 makes the five dollars not effective at the current time,” he concluded.
