PUK official survives assassination in Mosul [02/11/2014]

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An official within the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, chaired by the President Jalal Talabani, survived an assassination attempt when a car bomb exploded to the northwest of Mosul city.The media office of PUK reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The car bomb exploded targeting the motorcade of the deputy chairman of the PUK organizations, Kabir Koran, of Nineveh nearby Eadhah area within Talafar district of northwestern Mosul.””The official survived the explosion unharmed while one of the vehicles of his motorcade was damaged due to the explosion,” the statement concluded.
