Kirkuk Governor separately meets Maliki, Jaafary, Abdulmahdi over situations in Kirkuk

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Kirkuk, Najim il-Din Karim, met with the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary, and the leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Adel Abdulmahdi, over the security and political situations in Kirkuk.

A statement by the Media Office of Kirkuk Governor received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “Karim met with Maliki in Baghdad and requested the him to support the local police with the military equipment and security elements where the latter assured his support to Kirkuk to perform the big projects.”

“During his visit to Baghdad, Karim met with Jaafary in the presence of the key advisor of the President, Abdul Latif Rashid and discussed the security and political situations in Kirkuk,” the statement added.

The statement concluded “Karim has also met with Abdulmahdi and discussed the latest updates in Iraq.”
