More blasts rock Baghdad; 6 casualties

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: One civilian on Monday was killed and five others were wounded in a Baghdad car bomb explosion, the fourth to hit the Iraqi capital today. “Today, a car bomb detonated near a gas station in Sadr city’s al-Dakhel area, northeastern Baghdad, killing a civilian and wounding five others,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Earlier in the day, a police source said that two civilians were killed and eight others were wounded when an explosives-rigged car detonated at the entrance of al-Husseiniya neighborhood, northern Baghdad. Meanwhile, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) went off in two separate incidents in Baghdad’s areas of al-Naieriya and al-Alawi, killing five civilians and wounding 12 others. SS (P) 1
