3 Sahwa elements killed, civilian wounded in Salah-il-Din [02/20/2014]

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Three Sahwa elements were killed while a civilian was wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device exploded to the south of Tikrit city.A source of Salah-il-Din police directorate reported to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) ”The IED, which exploded, targeting a Sahwa security checkpoint in Ma’mel neighborhood, resulted in killing three Sahwa elements and wounding a civilian as well as causing material damage to several nearby civil vehicles.””The security forces rushed to the explosion location transporting the dead bodies to the morgue and the wounded people to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.”The security forces started a raid-search operation looking for the perpetrators,” the source concluded.
