13 States to participate in Iraqi 3rd Chess Championship

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Central Chess Union obtained the consent of (13) Arab and Foreign States to participate in the Iraqi Third Chess Championship which will be held in Baghdad within (22/3 till 31/3/2014).The Financial Secretary of the Iraqi Chess Union, Abdul Hadi Maftol, reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The union is waiting for the consent of the executive bureau of the Olympic Committee to start the preparations to hold the championship.””The championship will witness very strong competition since many countries will participate in the championship such as Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Iran, Azerbaijan , Armenia, Georgia , Turkey, Ukraine and many other States,” the statement concluded. \END\
