60 wanted men nabbed in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Sixty wanted men on Tuesday were arrested on several criminal charges during a wide-scale security operation in Basra province, according to a local source. “Local police conducted raid-and-search operations in different parts of Basra, during which 60 wanted men were captured on criminal charges,” the media office of Basra’s police told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Those arrested included robbery gang members, who were caught red-handed,” the office explained. “Thirty unlicensed vehicles and nine motorbikes were seized during the operations,” it added.
