29 arrested, 2 IEDs defused in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Basra arrested 15 wanted men and 14 suspects others in a security operation in different areas of the province on Sunday, according to the city’s police information & relations office. “Police forces conducted a search raid today (April 12) in different areas of Basra, capturing 15 men wanted on terrorist and criminal charges and 14 suspects others and seizing 18 unlicensed vehicles and 17 unlicensed motorbikes,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Criminal Evidence Police Department personnel also defused two improvised explosive devices found in the area of al-Kharbotliya, central Basra,” it added.
