Gangster nabbed in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A murder and robbery gang member on Saturday was arrested in Basra province, according to a local police source. “Police forces arrested a member of gang specialized in murder and theft in Safwan farms (60 km west of Basra),” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The gangster confessed to having been involved in three murders,” the source noted. “The arrest was made in light of intelligence tips,” the source explained, adding that the man has informed on three other gang members, who reside in Missan province.
