Maliki calls for International security-intelligence coordination to eliminate terrorism in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, called for the coordination of the international security and intelligence to eliminate the terrorist sources in Iraq.

In his statement during the opening session of the Counter-Terrorism Conference, Maliki said “We urge the countries that adopt the sectarian and Takfiri fatwas to stop them and cooperate with us to eliminate terrorism.”

“Those countries are mistaken to believe that the terrorist groups kill the Shiite and the Christians on behalf of the Sunni people,” he added.

He warned from “The continuity of the war in Syria that would affect the region,” noting that “The blind terrorism does not differentiate between the Shiite and the Sunni and aims at destroying Iraq.”
