SLC MP: Constitution allows Maliki to use funds without endorsing Budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hana al-Tai, of the State of Law Coalition stated that there is not constitutional article prevent the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, form using the funds to pay the salaries of the employees without the endorsement of the Budget.

She stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “As a law, the Budget must be endorsed by the parliament but the obligations of the government make it to spend the funds to pay the funds for the employees’ salaries.”

“The parliament has no right to hinder the executive authority and to work on providing the services to the citizens,” she concluded.
