Hakim, Iranian Deputy FM discuss efforts to confront terrorism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, received the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Murtadha Sarmadi, on Thursday.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “They discussed the regional political updates and the efforts exerted to confront terrorism.”

“Hakim described terrorism as the characteristic of the age, calling all sides to cooperate to eliminate it,” the statement added.
