Gangster arrested in Dhi-Qar

Dhi-Qar (IraqiNews.com) A gangster affiliated to a gang specialized in conducting abduction and extortion was arrested in Dhi-Qar province.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”The Anti-Crime patrols arrested a gangster while he was attempting to kidnap a school student in order to blackmail his family for a ransom,” noting that “The boy managed to escape and foiled the abduction plot.””The detainee was accompanied by two other gangsters and the police forces are looking for them,” the source added, stressing that ”The detainee admitted attempting to kidnap the boy along with his two fellows as well as confessing about other crimes.” \END\
