10 wanted persons captured, policeman wounded in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Security forces in Diala arrested 10 gunmen and seized three improvised explosive devices in different areas of Baaquba district on Friday, according to the Diala police chief. “The policemen conducted an operation that targeted some wanted men in the neighborhoods of al-Tahreer and al-Katoun in the district of Baaquba, arresting 10 wanted men members of al-Qaeda in Iraq network and defusing three IEDs,” Maj. General Abdulhussein al-Shimari told IraqiNews.com news agency. “In a related development, an IED went off near a police patrol in al-Katoun, seriously wounding a policeman,” Shimari added.
