Ahrar bloc accuses Maliki’s coalition of hindering IHEC’s performance

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of al-Ahrar bloc, Mushriq Naji, accused the State of Law Coalition headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, of hindering the performance of the Independent High Electoral Commission.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “We reject the interference in the performance of the IHEC and condemn such interference by the SLC MPs.”

He called the Supreme Judicial Council to “Replace the Commissioners of the IHEC because they became suspicious and pressurized where their decisions will affect the political process in Iraq.”
