Designs made for cardiac hospital in Basra, oil refineries in Kurdistan

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Designs have been carried out for a heart surgery hospital in Basra province and an oil refinery project in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, according to an Iraqi Industry Ministry statement. “The total cost of the hospital, which will be built by the State Company for Designs and Industrial Consulting, is 29.4 billion Iraqi dinars (1 U.S. dollar= 1,170 Iraqi dinars),” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “In coordination with the Oil Ministry, the company will also conduct an oil refinery project with a capacity of 20,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the provinces of Arbil and Sulaimaniya,” the statement explained, adding that the estimated cost of the project is 103 billion Iraqi dinars. The project aims to put an end to the scarcity of oil derivatives and to offer a large number of job opportunities in the region, the statement added. SS (P)/SR 1
